SAFESHELTER AT YOUTH OUTREACH
This program of Yamhill Community Action Partnership (YCAP), offers free, temporary emergency shelter to homeless teens ages 11-17 throughout Yamhill County. SafeShelter is seeking Host Homes in the Sheridan-Willamina area to assist local teens for up to 21 days.
SafeShelter will provide case management services with the goal of family reunification to teens in the program free of charge. Around the clock support will be provided to the Host Home when a teen is placed.
Host Home applicants will be required to pass a background check, provide autobiographical information, and participate in regular trainings and support meetings. Certified providers will receive a monthly stipend and a nightly allowance when youth are sheltered.
If you have some extra room in your home, you can help make a difference by becoming a Host Home provider. Join us in helping families in your community as we address the problems of homelessness by offering local teens a safe place to stay.
