City Streets
The City of Sheridan shares street maintenance responsibilities with Yamhill County, the State of Oregon, and private property owners. The City’s Public Works Department maintains 13.2 miles of local streets.
State-Maintained Roads
Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is responsible for:
- Highway 18B (Main Street)
- Highway 18
- The bridge over Highway 18
County-Maintained Roads
Yamhill County is responsible for:
- The bridge over the South Yamhill River
- Portions of S. Bridge Street, Sheridan Road, Richard Street, Rock Creek Road, Hill Street, and Western Street
Street Lighting
Streetlights are maintained by Portland General Electric (PGE). To report a
non-working streetlights or other lighting problem, please use PGE’s online

Transportation System Plan (TSP) Update
The City of Sheridan is updating its Transportation System Plan (TSP) — the
long-range plan that guides street, pedestrian, bicycle, and transit
improvements for the next 20+ years.
This update will modernize the City’s transportation policies and project list to better address current needs, support new housing, improve safety and connectivity, and expand active transportation options.
Get Involved
Public input is an important part of the planning process. Residents are
encouraged to explore the project materials, share feedback, and stay informed
as the plan develops.
