Parks
The City of Sheridan maintains several parks and open spaces for residents and visitors to enjoy. All city parks are open from dawn to dusk.
City Park
City Park has received a number of recent improvements, including new play
structures. Amenities include a skateboard facility, a covered basketball
court, and a covered picnic area that can be reserved for group events such as
birthday parties and family reunions.
SouthSide Park
South Side Park is home to the City’s fishing pond. Recent upgrades include an
expanded parking lot, restrooms, new trees, extended walking trails, and a
covered seating area. The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife regularly
stocks the pond. A valid Oregon fishing license is required.
Jefferson Street Dog Park
The dog park is now open at the end of SE Jefferson Street (adjacent to the
high school baseball fields).
Community Garden
The Community Garden is located at the Wastewater Treatment Plant (957 SE
Sheridan Road). It is operated by the Friends of the Sheridan Parks and the
Parks & Recreation Committee. Participants can take part in the Seed to
Supper gardening course, developed by the Oregon State University Extension
Service and taught by Master Gardeners.

To reserve a picnic shelter or other park space, complete the online Park
Reservation Request form or contact Public Works at 503-843-2660 (or
503-843-2347). Forms may also be returned to Public Works at 358 NW Washington
Street, Sheridan, OR 97378.
