Independent Auditor's Report
The City is audited every year by an independent auditor. The audit is conducted for the purpose of forming an opinion on the basic financial statements taken as a whole. The City of Sheridan prepares financial statements of the governmental activities, the business-type activities, and each major fund of the City. The auditor prepares individual fund financial statements and schedules and they are presented within the report for purposes of additional analysis. Their information has been subjected to the auditing procedures applied in the audit of the basic financial statements.
The City Manager prepares a Management's Discussion and Analysis which is a narrative overview and analysis of the financial activities for the fiscal year being audited.
Copies of the recent audits are available for review at City Hall or online at the State's Department of Audits.
Property Taxes
