The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message, proposed budget, and to receive public comment on the budget. This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee.

A public hearing to receive public comments on the possible uses of the State Revenue Sharing funds for Fiscal Year 2025-26 in accordance with ORS 221.770 will also be held by the Sheridan Budget Committee at this time.

You may attend the meeting in-person, but there is limited seating available. If you wish to provide remote oral or written comments, you must register in advance by 3:00 PM on the City’s website using the Public Comment Form - Sheridan, OR (cityofsheridanor.com). Sign-up sheets will also be available before the meeting for in-person comments.

A copy of the proposed budget may be inspected or obtained on or after May 8, 2025, at Sheridan City Hall, 120 SW Mill Street, Sheridan, OR 97378, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Fridays. Printed copies of the budget are $0.25 per double-sided, non-color page. The budget document will also be available online at Current Budget Year Information - Sheridan, OR.

If a second meeting is necessary, it will be held on May 22, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the same address and will also have the opportunity for public comments to be received.
