NOTICE OF CITY OF SHERIDAN BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING & PUBLIC HEARING FOR STATE REVENUE SHARING MAY 23, 2024 AT 6:00 PM

A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the City of Sheridan, Yamhill County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025, will be held at the Sheridan City Hall, 120 SW Mill Street, Sheridan, OR 97378.  The meeting will take place on May 23, 2024, at 6:00 PM 

The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message, proposed budget, and to receive public comment on the budget. This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee. 

A public hearing to receive public comments on the possible uses of the State Revenue Sharing funds for Fiscal Year 2024-25 in accordance with ORS 221.770 will also be held by the Sheridan Budget Committee at this time. 

You may attend the meeting in-person, but there is limited seating available. If you wish to provide remote oral or written comments, you must register in advance by 3:00 PM on the City’s website using the Public Comment Form - Sheridan, OR (cityofsheridanor.com). Sign-up sheets will also be available before the meeting for in-person comments.

A copy of the proposed budget may be inspected or obtained on or after May 20, 2024, at Sheridan City Hall, 120 SW Mill Street, Sheridan, OR 97378, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Fridays. Printed copies of the budget are $0.25 per double-sided, non-color page. The budget document will also be available online at Current Budget Year Information - Sheridan, OR (cityofsheridanor.com)

If a second meeting is necessary, it will be held on May 28, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the same address and will also have the opportunity for public comments to be received.
