SKATEPARK CONSTRUCTION REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

City of Sheridan, Oregon

Announcement:  July 7, 2026

RFP Deadline:      July, 31, 2026 at 3:00 pm

Experienced skatepark contractors are encouraged to submit a proposal to refurbish and expand the existing Skatepark at Sheridan City Park, 500 NE Yamhill Street, Sheridan, OR 97378.  The new facility will be multi-purpose for non-motorized use by skateboarders, skaters, and bicyclists. 

Minimum Qualifications to Submit a Proposal:

1.     Work must be completed by December 16, 2026.

2.     Cost is $175,000 or less, and an Oregon Prevailing Wage project.

3.     Age focus:  Beginner to Intermediate.

4.     Use of SHOTCRETE for all skating surfaces and describe experience working with this product.

5.     Experience with at least two other skate park construction projects in Oregon.

6.     The project area is the existing, skatepark extended, approximately 8,000 square feet (100’ x 80’).

7.     Proposer to present its proposal to the Parks Committee on August 6, 2026 at 6:00 pm.

8.     Deadline to submit proposal to Sheridan City Hall by July 31, 2026 at 3:00 pm.

The Project Award will be determined by the following equally-weighted selection criteria:  Cost; Use of materials and structural design; Skate Park site design and overall flow of the skating experience; Number of skating activities (jumps, ramps, rails, etc.); and Overall presentation and project understanding.  The final award of contract will be made by the City Council on August 17, 2026.  For any inquiries, please contact the City Manager at the following:  503-843-2347 or ppolasek@cityofsheridanor.com.
